Just the Hindi you need

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow
(or Maybe It Was Yesterday)

Can you imagine a language in which the word for yesterday is the same as the word for tomorrow? Well, you’re studying it! In Hindi, the word “kal” means tomorrow when used in a future tense clause, and yesterday when used in a past tense clause.

Fortunately, most of the other aspects of time in Hindi are perfectly straightforward. In Lesson 9: Talking about Days and Time in Hindi, you’ll learn the days of the week as well as how to say “last night” and “tomorrow night” (which, oddly, are not dependent on tenses). A host of other time-related phrases are included, too. Don’t forget to click on the blue audio button for each phrase to hear it pronounced, and make sure to repeat the phrase aloud until you’re sure it’s locked in your memory.
